What We Do
Fostering Hope Clothes Closet is collecting new and gently used clothing items for Foster Children and other families in need in Jackson County. Our goal is to make sure our community has the items and resources they need to thrive. Many foster children are taken to new homes with nothing but the clothes on their back. This leaves a large burden on the foster family. We are hoping to lessen that burden by providing clothes that are needed. We will also be helping other families who may need help with clothing their family. No one should be cold because they don’t have the jacket or shoes they need.
Fostering Hope CC will be a beacon of light in the darkness. It is our hope to make sure every child is clothed and warm. We will also provide a book and stuffed animal to these children to give them comfort in their most vulnerable moment. We will also provide resources for other locations that provide food, shelter and medical help.
Who We Help
Foster Children
We work with local foster groups to provide resources to foster parents. When a child is placed in a home, the foster parent can contact us to get items for that child.
Peace Place
The Peace Place brings together advocates, donors, volunteers, and community partners who are commuted to ending domestic violence. They work to create safe communities through the provision of safe shelter and supportive services for victims and survivors of domestic violence.
County Schools
We partner with all local guidance counselors in the surrounding school systems to make sure children have weather appropriate clothing and items they need to succeed.
Local Families in Need
We provide several events throughout the year and give away grab bags full of clothing. Local families are able to contact us twice a year for clothing assistance.
